Dr Jeff English received his DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He practiced briefly in Washington state, then entered the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps.

Some of his duties in the military included running clinical services in Yokosuka, Japan, FortLewis, Washington, and El Paso, Texas, and he completed a three year residency in Veterinary Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Walter Reed, and a preceptorship in Zoologic Pathology at The National Zoologic Park, Washington, DC. He retired from the Army and joined Bryan Animal Clinic in 2001.

Dr English and his wife, Elizabeth have two adult children, and they share their lives with Willa, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and Karma, a newly rescued Lab-mix.

Outside of small animal practice, Dr English enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, photography, and pursuing upland birds and waterfowl with his partner, Willa.
